PRODUCTIVITY FEATURES

  • MMD Equipment compact excavators by Komatsu are easily transformed to zero tail swing by simply removing the additional counterweight. This additional feature provides the operator with clearance when working in small, confined working spaces.
  • Even when multiple functions are operated simultaneously, the pressure-compensated CLSS HydrauMind Hydraulic System ensures each actuator works according to its control input, regardless of the size of the load; giving the operator precise control at all times.
  • Options for your Komatsu excavator are available through MMD Equipment. Choose from:

    • A Breaker Arm for your PC09-1.

    • A Large Operator’s Cab which is ergonomically designed to reduce fatigue and add comfort to your PC20MR-2, PC27MR-2, PC35MR-2, PC40MR-2 or PC50MR-2.
    • A Thumb for your PC27MR-2, PC35MR-2, PC40MR-2, PC50MR-2 or PC78MR-6.
  • An expandable undercarriage ranging from 2’4” – 2’10” is available on the PC09-1. This slender functionality enables you to pass through narrow doorways and then have the ability to expand your undercarriage for good stability during
    excavation.

SAFETY FEATURES

  • A Neutral Engine Start System virtually eliminates accidents due to sudden motion or boom movement at start up.
  • A Two–Post ROPS (Roll-Over Protective Structure) and Top Guard Canopy meet the requirements of ROPS with the advantage of a two post design. According to the SAE and ISO standard, excavators are not required to have FOPS; however, the MR-2 canopy and cab are strong enough to meet the standard for FOPS.

EASY MAINTENANCE & SERVICIBALITY

  • Tilt-Up Operator Compartment: The operator’s compartment and floor tilt forward for easy access to the hydraulic components. The hydraulic hoses are marked for easy identification at the control valve and are built into the arm to protect them from debris. Opening the operator compartment is not required for daily inspection; however, it is possible to perform service quickly and easily when required.
  • Fully Opening Engine Hood and Side Hoods allow easy access for daily inspection and routine maintenance. All maintenance and inspection points are easily accessible even with the machine in its working position.
  • 500 Hour Maintenance Intervals reduce maintenance costs and increase productivity. Our excavators are designed to have extended lubrication intervals for equipment bushings and swing circle plus, extended engine oil replacement intervals. These features increase productivity by reducing down-time.
  • High Strength X-Track Frame deters mud and debris build-up which saves the operator valuable time when cleaning the machine, keeping the dirt at the jobsite and not in your rental yard.
  • A Larger Diameter Swing Pin has increased durability and maintains suitable clearances between pin and bushing after long term operation.
